Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of KDT on immunologic control function, the various immune responses such as the transformation of lymphocyte, the production of nitric oxide (NO), the population of immune cells in spleen of BALB/C mouse, the phagocytic index K and the hemagglutinin titer and hemolysin titer were studied. The results were obtained as follows :
1. The transformation of lymphocyte was increased significantly in all concentration of KDT treated group as compared with negative control.
2. The production of nitric oxide was increased in KDT & LPS treated group as compared with negative and positive control and also increased significantly as compared with negative control.
3. The phagocytic index K was increased significantly in KDT pretreated group as compared with control.
4. In FACS analysis, the population of helper T cell and macrophage were increased significantly in KDT treated group as compared with normal.
5. The hemagglutinin titer and hemolysin titer were increased insignificantly in KDT treated group as compared with control.
From the above results it was concluded that KDT showed immunologic control function through the activation of macrophage and helper T cell. So it is expected to be clinically helpful on the prevention and treatment of related disease.
